Circuit Training

Circuit training is one of the best methods of exercising because it provides excellent all-round fitness: cardio, strengthening and flexibility. At BeFitLifestyle we offer two unique Cardio Circuit Training classes. Each class offers a variety of fast paced exercises repeated in rotation to promote cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength and coordination and overall improved fitness. Check them out for yourself!
Cardio-circuit Training has become increasingly popular as it provides a "one-stop" exercise session, combining cardiovascular activity and resistance training. The key to success lies in the formula of performing a set of up to 13 full-body exercises quickly and in rotation - spending only 60 seconds at each exercise before quickly moving on to the next. Whatever your level of fitness, from top athlete to mere beginner, how you use your 60 seconds is entirely up to you! With circuit training, you can really push yourself and set your own goals knowing you've only got 60 seconds worth of any activity before you move on to the next.

Instructor/Class Descriptions:
Michael Banta's training methodology is focused on the individual and the promotion of exercise as a lifestyle, not a hobby. He believes a healthy body is achieved via a balance of mind, body, and spirit. Working with individuals and their own personal pursuit of wellness, he focuses on exercise, nutrition, commitment, and fun! Originally born and raised in Southern California, Michael Banta had made his home in New Orleans, Louisiana for the past 14 years. However, come late summer 2005, Hurricane Katrina disrupted his and the lives countless others. Relocating back to his roots, San Diego (namely BeFitLifestyle) has gained a valuable resource in the health and fitness industry.
Bob Richardson believes the goal of training shouldn't necessarily be to change how the body looks, but rather improve how the body moves and functions. Muscles will develop naturally as movement patterns are worked, with a great looking body being the by-product of improved function. He employs an eclectic approach to performance/health enhancement, drawing from all fitness disciplines, using what is beneficial for a given situation and discarding what is not. A certified personal trainer by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a certified Health/Fitness Instructor by the American College of Sports Medicine, Bob is qualified to work with a wide variety of clientele and strives to bring out the athlete in every individual he has the opportunity to influence!
